ARRL contest Results

Here is how we finished the ARRL DX contest:
229 QSOs
62 Multipliers
Grand score: 42594
The majority of the activity was on 20 meters with a few on 15 meters. The MUF hovered between 20 and 15 meters over the weekend permitting a few openings on 15 meters. Pretty good considering the solar cycle is so quiet (in our favor we didn't have to content with solar flares/magnetic storms to knock out the bands. The Yeasu FT101ZD and the FL2100 amp got a good workout.

Welcome to the world of HF/VHF contesting.

Contests are held throughout the year, and use a variety of modes and bands. Contests can vary in length, from a sprint (1/2 hour to an hour), a full weekend, or an entire month. Check a contest calendar such as for the dates, times, rules, and scoring. Some contests may be a single mode such as SSB Phone (Voice), or multi-mode such as SSB, Rtty, and CW. The club has HF gear for your use, don't be shy, come down and try it out.
