World Championship Bathtub Race 2010

The 2010 World Championship Bathtub race will be held during the Nanaimo Marine Festival on Sunday, July 25th at 11 AM.

NARA will again be assissting in the "race" communications as well as having our Special Event station VE7TUB on Saturday and Sunday. The station will be set up at Departure Bay Beach at 9 AM Saturday and operate continuously until Sunday. Please contact Loyd for VE7TUB info.

Special Event Station VE7TUB will operating from the club station starting Wednesday July 21st @ 1700 hours. This is a most enjoyable event and everyone is invited to spend some time on HF or VHF handing out contacts from the "Official Bathtub Station"

Special QSL cards and a Bathtub Certificate are available to each contact.

Race communications this year will again be headed up by Walter VA7ANI. Two APRS units will be installed on the tubs to give us accurate position reports. This is a very enjoyable event and anyone interested in helping should contact Walter VA7ANI.
